Every time I tell any of my lovely people about opening the new hospital I am greeted with a happy response initially, but then immediately there follows a suspicious look and a very worried question “Are you going to stop being a mobile vet?!”
So let me reassure everyone, I really love doing the mobile vet thing. I can’t see that stopping any time soon. I love it. Did I say I love it? I really enjoy meeting people in their homes and I simply find I immediately get to know my patients far better than is usually possible in the consulting room environment. Clinical signs make more sense in context to some extent I guess. Plus, I remain a manic wildlife photographer, and having any gap in my day’s schedule is so wonderfully used stopping by nearby (wherever I happen to be in Perth!) bushland/parkland and capturing images for a while.
So while the new Manning Vet Centre is a wonderful new step in the journey for Animal Happiness Veterinary, the mobile vet service is here to stay. 🙂
